Position Summary:
The Battleground Finance Assistant is a member of the DCCC’s finance department and is devoted to raising major donor contributions for Frontline and Red to Blue candidates from individuals and other entities. A successful Battleground Finance Assistant will be organized, self-motivated, detail-oriented, creative, and hard-working.
The Battleground Finance Assistant will work closely with the Director of Battleground Fundraising, and Deputy National Finance Director for Battleground Fundraising to execute logistics for fundraising events (virtually or in-person), create event briefing materials for principals, keep accurate department records, and ensure that contributions are processed correctly and that donors are thanked for their support in a timely manner. This position is ideal for an applicant looking to get experience working at a political committee and as part of a large fundraising team.
This position is part of a collective bargaining unit

Responsibilities Include:
  • Facilitates the day-to-day fundraising operations for the DCCC Battleground program;
  • Manage the the development and execution of all fundraising events;
  • Work with Members of Congress as well as the donor community;
  • Prepare donor meeting and event materials as necessary;
  • Provide key administrative and organizational support to the finance team;
  • Other duties as needed.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of political fundraising experience, or comparable non-profit/advocacy fundraising experience is a plus
  • NGP experience is preferred, and FEC compliance familiarity a plus;
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced environment;
  • Commitment to the election of Democrats in the U.S. House of Representatives;
  • Familiarity with Democratic political actors and landscape a plus;
  • Previous administrative experience required;
  • Proficiency with Google Suite;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills;
  • Superior time management, attention to detail and multi-tasking abilities.
