Location: Dayton, Ohio (Remote is not available for this position)

We are seeking a dynamic Kaizen Manager to lead our cultural transformation efforts, driving change through employee engagement at all levels of our workforce and management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cultural Transformation: Lead the development and implementation of a Kaizen-based continuous improvement culture across the organization, focusing on employee engagement and hands-on leadership.
  • Employee Engagement: Create and execute strategies to engage the workforce and management in continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring broad participation and ownership of process improvements.
  • Training and Development: Develop and deliver comprehensive Kaizen and Lean Manufacturing training programs to employees at all levels, enhancing their skills in continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Performance Metrics: Establish, monitor, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to continuous improvement efforts, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Best Practices: Benchmark and incorporate best practices in Kaizen relevant to Industry.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with senior management and department heads to align continuous improvement initiatives with strategic business goals, securing their support and resources.
  • Continuous Learning: Foster an environment of continuous learning and innovation across the organization. ,

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of BS in Engineering or related field required (MBA preferred).
  • Minimum of 10 years of strong experience in a continuous improvement role within a manufacturing environment, with a minimum 2 years in a leadership capacity. (preferably HM/LV production machining)
  • Proven track record of leading cultural change, preferably in a HM/LV environment.
  • Certification in Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma Black Belt required; experience in using 5S, Visual Management, and time study techniques strongly preferred.
  • Strong analytical capabilities along with strong verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office apps including Excel, Word, and Power Point required.
  • ERP-literate including experience with ERP systems such as JD Edwards, SAP, PLEX or others preferred.
  • Enthusiasm, passion, and a sense of urgency for CI along with strong interpersonal, collaborative, and leadership skills.
  • Able to travel internationally and domestically (10% to 20%)
