Dayton Lamina is Hiring a Business Development/Sales Near Dayton, OH

Job Summary
Sales and technical lead for line of products to support sales team, distributor partners and grow sales. Understand market and product issues, identify needs of support and key buying factors to facilitate accelerated growth of specific product lines. Will travel US wide and interact heavily with production of defined product lines to identify capabilities, quoting specials, managing urgent delivery cases. Develop support materials, either individual or through marketing department, for customers, sales team or internal users to enable sales growth.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage strategy and implementation of product roadmap in collaboration with production, marketing and sales team.
  • Investigation into new industries and applications of existing products within those industries
  • Prospect applications of our products outside the metal stamping industry
  • Provide feedback to Product Management for new product development and introduction
  • Support DL vision of time focused values and organization through development of programs and processes creating a superior customer experience
  • Gathers market/industry intel by customer, potentials, applications and appropriately relates those to Dayton Lamina capabilities or defines gap.
  • Be the technical expert of the product line.
  • Organizes & mobilizes resources with urgency to prepare or capture sales opportunities.
  • Collaborates with internal departments and creates project plans to produce needed support materials.
  • Develops annual sales plans to reach company goals for select focus products and industries.
  • Discovers and explores business opportunities making sound decisions based on the potential reward/risk of each.
  • Screens potential business deals by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, and financials.
  • Enhances organization's reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests.
  • Stay abreast of current market conditions and competitors as well as trending conditions.
  • Be a change leader through analyses, proposals, execution and thought leadership using experience and best practices.
  • Other job responsibilities as required and as appropriate to the position
  • Travel requirements-50% usually on weekdays, but may require some weekend travel
Skills/Qualifications:
  • Experience with CRM and other sales support systems – Salesforce is a plus
  • Must have good interpersonal, communication, planning, project management, writing and client relationship management skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills are required.
  • Ability to collaborate well with all departments while accomplishing improvements and goals.
Experience/Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree-preferably in business or engineering, or significant industry experience
  • 5 years in sales or product management
  • Demonstrated experience in sales or business development within manufacturing as a sales representative
