Job Summary: 
Responsible for the management of patient care services in Behavioral Health Services. Utilizes clinical and operational expertise to lead, support, and supervise personnel to ensure efficient, effective and compassionate patient care. Provides clinical and administrative leadership and expertise. Facilitates an atmosphere of participative management and the development of collegial relationships. Visible, accessible and committed to communicating effectively with staff. Promotes the professional practice of all disciplines. Represents the organization in a positive and professional manner. Responsible for the management of patient care services in Behavioral Health Services. Utilizes clinical and operational expertise to lead, support, and supervise personnel to ensure efficient, effective and compassionate patient care. Provides clinical and administrative leadership and expertise. Facilitates an atmosphere of participative management and the development of collegial relationships. Visible, accessible and committed to communicating effectively with staff. Promotes the professional practice of all disciplines. Represents the organization in a positive and professional manner. 
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Ability to organize and coordinate patient care.
  • Demonstrates knowledge and experience in leadership and operational skills.
  • Demonstrates ability to establish good working relationships.
  • Demonstrates high-level verbal and written skills.
  • Demonstrates ability to cope with and function under stress.
QUALIFICATIONS:
A. Education:
  1. Licensed and currently registered in the State of Connecticut as a Professional Nurse required.
  2. Preparation in nursing management preferred.
  3. Baccalaureate degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
B. Experience:
  1. Seven years current psychiatric nursing experience required.
  2. Minimum of five years experience in a leadership position preferred.
