Davidson Homes is Hiring an Operation Coordinator Near Huntsville, AL

Davidson Homes is currently seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Operations Coordinator to join our team! The primary responsibility of this role is to provide comprehensive support to the Purchasing and Land Development departments. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication skills, strong analytical abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the successful execution of our projects and to play a key role in the growth and development of our company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in coordinating purchasing activities, including vendor communication and purchase order management.
  • Provide administrative assistance to the construction and land development teams.
  • Assist in the creation of reports, presentations, and other relevant materials.
  • Support community builders with miscellaneous tasks such as subcontractor lists, fees or holds.
  • Upload and maintain records of permit, certificate of occupancy details and 3rd party inspection scores in builder software.
  • Assist with preparing new start packages for community builders.
  • Prepare walk thru packages for community builders.
  • Assist in various tasks as required, such as permitting, HOA interactions, closings, reclass applications, and certificate of occupancy requests.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • 1-year minimum experience with a production home builder preferred but not required
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Strong sense of urgency
  • Strong PC skills required, with a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Outlook)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Prior experience with Newstar and BuildPro is preferred
