Davidson Auto Group is Hiring an Auto Dealership Service Manager Near Watertown, NY
- The Service Manager is responsible for the overall production of timely vehicle repairs and serves as the main support for Service Advisors and Auto Technicians.
- Ensures proper processes are executed to evaluate, up-sell work that generates revenue, communicates clearly with customers, explains vehicle maintenance services as well as auto repair, develops estimates and quotes.
- Focuses on customer satisfaction and generates repeat customers while providing resolutions of customer complaints.
- Manages and hires technicians, service advisors, and support personnel.
- Solves problems and meets predetermined services and sales objectives.
- Directly supervises service department personnel; carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Upholds and maintains company and manufacturer policies and procedures.
- Hires, trains and motivates employees in the Service Department.
- Creates work schedules and maintains proper accounting of Service Technicians' productivity.
- Ensures that service repairs are performed efficiently and correctly by conducting spot checks on jobs.
- Acts as lead liaison from the Service Department to all other dealership departments.
- Ensures the dealership’s warranty administration is efficient and compliant with manufacturer guidelines.
- Oversees Employee training and development.
- Ensures a safe working environment.
- Ensures that equipment is properly maintained and repaired.
- Must have a minimum of two or more years of previous experience as an Auto Service Manager or Service Writer.
- Must have strong training, motivational and leadership skills.
- Must be process driven.
- Must have track record of success and integrity.
- Must have solid administrative ability with specific regard to factory policies and procedures.
- Must have previous work experience using Microsoft Office.
- Previous experience using DealerTrack a plus however, any automotive operating system experience is beneficial.
- Valid driver's license with good driving record is required.
