The Opportunity

DAT is looking for a Site Reliability Engineer to join our Platform Engineering team. This position can be based in our Denver, CO office; Beaverton, OR office; or fully remote.

Candidate profile

Site Reliability Engineers are at the forefront of bridging software development with operations, focusing on creating automated solutions to ensure system stability and efficiency. Our SREs have a keen focus on enhancing observability to ensure transparent and proactive system monitoring.

What You'll Do

  • Conduct thorough root cause analysis for challenging software incidents, contributing to a culture of accountability and continuous learning.
  • Design and implement effective alerting and monitoring solutions within our observability platform, enhancing system oversight and early detection capabilities.
  • Actively participate in on-call rotations, demonstrating reliability and effectiveness in incident resolution.

The Skills and Experience You'll Bring

  • Solid understanding of core SRE principles such as Observability, Error Budgets, SLA/SLI/SLOs, alongside practical Incident Management skills.
  • Competent in identifying and resolving software issues, with a focus on system optimization and efficiency.
  • Well-versed in observability tools and frameworks, employing them to maintain system health and user satisfaction.
  • Practical experience with AWS, applying foundational concepts to support and improve system operations.
  • Knowledgeable in Kubernetes, with the ability to apply basic principles to manage containerized environments.

The maximum compensation for this role can vary significantly depending on your job-related skills and experience.
