Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the recovery and care of patients following surgical procedures, ensuring their comfort, safety, and smooth transition from anesthesia to full consciousness.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and assess patients recovering from anesthesia, ensuring a smooth transition from the operating room to the PACU.
• Evaluate vital signs, pain levels, and overall patient condition post-surgery.
• Administer medications and interventions as necessary for pain management and recovery.
• Advocate for patient needs and comfort during the recovery process.
• Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing updates on the recovery process and addressing any concerns.
• Work closely with surgical teams, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
• Report and document patient responses to anesthesia and recovery interventions.
• Respond promptly to any post-operative complications or emergencies.
• Perform life-saving measures and coordinate with the healthcare team during critical situations.
• Educate patients and their families on post-operative care, potential side effects, and what to expect during the recovery period.
• Provide instructions for at-home care and follow-up appointments.

Requirements:
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a PACU or Perioperative setting.
- BLS/ACLS Certification required.
- Competent in performing physical examinations and assessing patient conditions.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $80.00 - $85.00 per hour
