About this opportunity

The inventory cycle counter is responsible for the continuous accuracy of on hand inventory and their respective internal locators. Will assist in day-to-day inventory transactions and other data entry tasks related to inventory.

What you will do (Responsibilities)

• Strategically lead warehouse in compliance with company’s policies and vision.
• Reports on key metrics related to inventory management
• Collaborate across all departments to create and maintain improved inventory accuracy
• Ensure efficient space utilization in the warehouse
• Responsible to support implementation and control processes to ensure inventory accuracy of Raw materials, Finish Goods and WIP
• Leads inventory levels by conducting physical cycle count and providing data for reconciling with MRP system
• Enforces all company policies and SOP’s governing operations within the areas under his/her supervision.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

You will bring ( Qualifications )

• High School Diploma required, 5 years' warehouse experience, cycle counting experience a plus.
• Ability to pass DZS forklift training and operate forklift, reach truck, and order picker in a safe manner.
• Knowledge of material handling, warehouse operations/distribution/ transportation systems and best practices required.
• Must possess good working knowledge of MRP and ERP systems in relationship to the material control and warehouse functions.
• Experience in monitoring Inventory Control and accuracy through Cycle Count processes
• Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative, cross functional team environment
• Experience preferred using Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Excel Pivot Tables, Microsoft Access, PDM (Agile), and ERP (Oracle) type systems
• Ability to Deliver reports and effectively communicate results/findings to leadership
• Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to multitask
• Ability to effectively read, write, speak, and comprehend English
• Must adhere to all DZS’s employee policies defined in DZS’s Employee Handbook
• Color perception is necessary to perform certain critical aspects of the job
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds
• Must have reasonable manual dexterity and be able to spend extended periods of time in a sitting or standing position
• Must be able to work overtime on short notice, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• May be required to work with alcohol, paints, thinners, cleaners, and lead
• Position exposed to continuous, but OSHA acceptable levels of noise from computer and manufacturing equipment.
• Appropriate safety clothing and equipment required for use with hazardous equipment and work areas.
• Position subject to deadline pressure.
