Darigold is Hiring a Senior Financial Reporting Accountant Near Seattle, WA

Darigold is looking for a skilled Sr. Accountant to join our team at our Headquarters location in Seattle.
What You Will Do:
  • Prepare key financial schedules for the board of directors reports and annual audited financial statements.
  • Assume responsibility for financial reporting processes such as maintaining & updating existing financial reports and creating new reports as directed.
  • Take charge of coordinating the overall Annual Budget process.
  • Work with the international Finance Manager on troubleshooting Intercompany issues & serve as a backup to that position where needed.
  • Prepare various monthly accounting entries in support of a timely monthly close.
  • Prepare various balance sheet reconciliations and evaluate the procedures and effectiveness of the reconciliations with a view to continuous improvement.
  • Provide analysis of various general ledger postings and resolve issues in advance of month-end such as posting to suspense accounts, confirmation of entries, analysis of balances, etc.
  • Develop and enhance monthly reporting, trend analysis, and analytics on various metrics throughout the organization. Develop appropriate follow-up and disciplines to promote data integrity.
  • Evaluate internal controls and financial reporting disciplines to ensure an effective and efficient annual audit.
  • Special projects and development activities in other Finance functions, as assigned.
What You Bring:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
  • 3 years of corporate accounting experience in a medium to large organization. Financial Reporting experience is desired.
  • MBA, MPAcc or CMA/CPA certification a plus
Nice to Have’s:
  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP
  • Internal control orientation and strong proficiency in Tier 1 Enterprise Resource Planning systems (Oracle, SAP, PeopleSoft, JD Edwards, Microsoft Dynamics)
  • Hyperion/Essbase experience is a plus.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel proficiency (creation of pivot tables, look-up functions, visual basic, troubleshooting formula errors)
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Possess a high level of initiative and accountability.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and precision in all tasks
  • Excellent ability to organize information manages tasks and projects, and use available tools to effectively contribute to the organization.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. Conveys information clearly and effectively through both formal and informal documents.
  • Ability to work well with other employees at all levels in a team environment with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Willingness to work overtime to meet accounting deadlines.
  • Ability to travel (less than 20%)
