School Readiness Assistant Coordinator

• 3-5 years of ECE curriculum development experience
• Knowledge of the use of an Assessment Framework and Cycle of Intentional Teaching
• Ability to transfer reflective practitioner skills to teachers
• Thorough understanding of Developmentally Appropriate practice and the ability to ensure it is to be used in the classroom
• Knowledge of NAEYC Accreditation and how to apply it within your environment
• Assist the Director with day-to-day functions
• Familiar with using and implementing the ELDS (Early Learning Development Standards) and CT DOTS
• Familiar with preparing LEP (Learning Experience Plans)
• Understanding of School Readiness requirements
• Understanding of how to do a newsletter / communicate to parents
• Understanding the NAEYC Code of Ethics
• Certification of 1st Aide, CPR, Admin. Med, Injectable
• Familiar with Care 4 Kids and its process

Educational Requirements

• AA ECE degree with 5 years experience with curriculum development, supervision, and program improvement
• BA ECE with 3 years of experience with curriculum development, supervision, and program improvement
• Able to speak Spanish and Portuguese, highly desired
• Excellent Administrative, organizational, verbal, listening, and communication skills are required
• Knowledge of PowerSchool, state reporting systems and Parent Square is desired
