Position Summary | Primary duties include moderate difficulty installing and removing electronic communications equipment, repair of electronic communications equipment, and performing routine preventative maintenance. Maintain access control equipment (gates, ticket spitters, proxy card readers) for parking decks and lots. Utilize electronic test equipment to diagnose system problems and repair/replace defective equipment. Monitor wireless communication devices. Repairs to equipment include replacement of circuit boards, cables, cellular interface equipment, and fiber-optic connections. Inspect, repair, refurbish, and restore electronically-controlled devices to original operating condition. Program information into revenue control devices and send to the database for verification. |
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies | Highly skilled technical position involving a working knowledge of installation, maintenance, and repair of electronic communication equipment. Demonstrate ability to diagnose and repair electronic or electrical malfunctions. Position involves the ability to operate electronic test equipment including digital voltmeters, computers, peripheral equipment, and related devices. |
