Construction Quality Assurance/Quality Control Manger

D.A. Everett Construction Group is seeking qualified Quality Assurance/Quality Control Managers for the Charlotte market. QA/QC Managers will have proven success of working in a fast-paced, highly motivated environment while managing various deadlines and a dedication to service to our clients and project management team. Job Duties/Responsibilities

The QA/QC Manager is the primary company representative responsible for ensuring that construction projects meet the highest standards. Monitors activities to ensure that all aspects of a building’s construction are completed per design and in accordance with local authority having jurisdiction. Ensures projects are completed in a quality, profitable, safe, and timely manner. Maintains a relentless focus on meeting and exceeding customer needs and expectations. Builds business with current customers by delivering on our promises and promoting all our construction services.

Daily Functions

• Oversee all aspects of quality control on assigned construction projects
• Enforce current quality control program, plan, and coordinate all quality control activities with Superintendent alignment and support
• Monitor compliance with quality control policies and procedures
• Investigate and facilitate a resolution for all quality control issues
• Prepare quality control reports
• Keep abreast of latest developments in quality control methods and technologies
• Attend project meetings and interface with client’s quality representatives
• Review plans, submittals, and specifications for compliance with applicable building codes
• Review contractor bids for accuracy and adherence to building codes and specifications
• Inspect work sites to ensure that projects are being performed according to plan
• Ensure that all materials used, and work performed meet applicable codes, standards, and specifications
• Knowledgeable of LEED guidelines, and meeting minimum requirements
• Establish relationships and communication tools as needed with suppliers and other key people to verify that all understand performance standards and expectations.
• Ensure that project site and company assets are secure and always maintain a safe and respectful working environment by implementing programs for safety and loss prevention, risk management, training, and quality control.

Requirements

• B.S. in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred or 10 years of relevant experience. Depending upon the project size, scope, and complexity the years of experience may vary.
