cypressalf is Hiring a Resident Services Director Near Largo, FL

The Resident Services Director plays an integral role in the success of our team, our community and creating a place our residents are proud to call home. The primary purpose of this position is to facilitate the move in of new residents and assist with the assimilation of these new residents into the community. This position requires direct interaction with prospective residents and their families to provide for a smooth transition, as well as interaction with current residents to gauge resident satisfaction and areas of opportunities for community improvement. This position will also supervise receptionists at the front desk to ensure building’s first impression standards are implemented.

Essential Job Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for follow up with all depositors to coordinate all aspects of move in and assimilation to the resident's new home.
  • Collect, assemble, and check admission papers. Forward to appropriate departments.
  • Facilitate move in process for new residents as necessary, including but not limited to furniture placement, scheduling movers, assistance with getting settled.
  • Provide support to marketing department as a source of assistance with tours to ensure that all prospects to see the facility.
  • Serve as liaison between the Administrator, medical staff and other professional and supervisory staff and residents and their families.
  • Follow new residents for first 30 days in building to ensure proper adjustment to new surroundings and lifestyle, answering questions as they may arise, and providing appropriate feedback to the appropriate department head and the Administrator.
  • Interview all new residents/guardians to obtain required information and signatures on all required paperwork, releases, authorizations, etc.
  • Admit and prepare identification records for residents in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Maintain an accurate record of available units and ensure that all available units are ready to show at all time, working with the maintenance and housekeeping departments as appropriate.
  • Maintain a current listing of all residents, and assigned unit numbers. Provide copies of such listing to nursing service, administrative personnel, government agencies and personnel, etc., as necessary.
  • Maintain various registries as directed including register for admission and discharge of residents.
  • Maintain daily and monthly census report as directed.
  • Oversee staff and functions of the front desk to ensure that building and corporate standards are maintained.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Must possess the ability to make independent decisions, follow instructions, and accept constructive criticism. Must be able to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public. Must be able to work with ill, disabled, elderly, and emotionally upset people within the facility. Must be able to speak, write and understand English in a manner that is sufficient for effective communication with supervisors, employees, residents, and families.

Education and Experience

  • Prefer one year college or equivalent experience.
  • Prefer proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Publisher, Excel, Outlook) and entering information into a relational database.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position does have any direct reports or supervisory requirements.
