CYNWAVE Solutions is Hiring a Logistics Program Manager Near Hampton, VA

Job Summary:

CYNWAVE Solutions is seeking a highly motivated Logistics Project Manager to oversee our government logistics operations and manage a team of logistic and warehouse staff. The successful candidate will be responsible and accountable for the overall operations of the contract Logistic Unit during all shifts, including operations, personnel, safety, and financial performance. The Logistics Manager is responsible for managing all material and finished product inventories within the warehouses. They are also responsible for oversight of all incoming and outgoing shipments. The Logistics Manager provides leadership to the warehouse team, overseeing the allocation and performance of their job functions and is ultimately responsible for warehouse operations, inventory control, and distribution activities in accordance with established Agency procedures and regulations.

This position is contigent upon contract award. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the government warehouse, including receiving, storing, and shipping government-owned products, equipment and supplies
  • Supervising mailroom employee outcomes by training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, and counseling employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job contributions; adhering to policies and procedures
  •  Plan and coordinate inventory management activities to ensure that sufficient stock levels are maintained for government agency needs
  •  Develop and implement warehouse procedures to optimize productivity and efficiency while adhering to government regulations and organizational policies
  •  Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular audits to identify and address discrepancies
  •  Supervise and train warehouse staff to ensure that they are working effectively and following safety procedures
  •  Develop and maintain relationships with government agencies and vendors to ensure timely delivery of products and compliance with government regulations
  •  Monitor and manage the warehouse budget to ensure that expenses are kept within budgeted limits while meeting government requirements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, or related field
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in logistics project management, preferably in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams
  • Proficiency in project management software and MS Office applications
  • Knowledge of logistics and supply chain management principles and practices
  • Experience with transportation management systems (TMS) and warehouse management systems (WMS)
  • Must be able to travel as needed to support project execution
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI security clearance

Travel:

Travel within the Continental United States (CONUS) and Outside the Continental United States (OCONUS) to support tasks and requirements may be required.
