Smart Work Network is Hiring a Commercial Roofing Sales Executive Near Chicago, IL

The Company, which promotes a proactive, preventative maintenance approach to roofing, provides high-quality roofing solutions to its growing customer base. Summary of Role Objective:

-Bids:Responding to RFPs, preparing bids, and securing commercial and industrial roofing jobs

-Relationships:Developing relationships with new customers and existing customers

-Site Services:Conducting onsite roof surveys for estimating preventative maintenance, service and projects, and due diligence reports

-Sales:Actively identify sales opportunities from Preventative Maintenance, Due Diligence Reports and Service Repairs

Compensation:Competitive pay and bonus structure based on experience. Signing bonus included.

Specific Objectives:

Estimating and Bidding:

o Review and understand scope of work and project specifications from architectural drawings, specifications and other pertinent bid documents.

o Compute labor and material cost estimates and itemized lists of materials.

o Prepare quotations / bids for preventative maintenance services and re-roofs.

o Assist in updating and improving estimation and bidding process to reflect changes in market and business conditions.

Product and Purchasing:

o Work closely with manufacture representatives to request current material pricing and assembly letters.

o Stay current with industry standards, processes, and techniques.

o Customer Satisfaction / Business Development:

o Maintain good relationships and communication with contractors, owners, staff, and manufacturers to increase sales and customer satisfaction.

Operations:

o Work with service and project management to smoothly transition accepted proposals into active projects.

o Maintain accurate and up to date project files.

Required Knowledge & Skills:

Product:

o Must be well versed in all single-ply roofing materials as well as single-ply methods of attachments.

o Ability to read and interpret specifications, bid documents, and perform project takeoffs.

o Ability to compile and prepare project submittals.

Analytical:

o Ability to work with mathematical concepts and spreadsheets that use formulas for basic calculations and ratio analyses.

o Must be able to pass a pre-hire criminal background check.

Experience:

· 3-5 years’ experience as an Estimator in commercial roofing.

· Prior sales experience in roofing and/or construction is a plus.

· Knowledge of singly-ply membranes and attachment methods.

Working Conditions, Travel/Schedule expectations and Physical Demands

· Work is performed both indoors and outdoors.

· Persons considering this job should be able to put up and take down a 28’ ladder on their own.

· Reliable personal transportation to travel between customer locations.

· A valid driver’s license in good standing

· Traditional work schedule is Monday to Friday; may include occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet business needs.
