We are looking for a vigilant and reliable Event Security Guard to join our team and ensure the safety and security of event attendees, staff, and property during events. The Event Security Guard plays a critical role in maintaining order, responding to security incidents, and creating a safe and enjoyable environment for all participants. The ideal candidate should have a strong commitment to security, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle challenging situations with professionalism.

Duties:

• Ensure the safety and security of both Copper Nickel premises and its personnel
• Conduct thorough security checks of attendees, staff, and vendors upon entry to the event.
• Monitor access points, including entrances and exits, to prevent unauthorized entry or suspicious activity.
• Diffuse any situation when patron(s) are not responding rationally or may be inebriated with a calming but assertive manner
• Ability to remove patron(s) who violate the rules while at the Copper Nickel.
• Attend Copper Nickel staff meetings with the Event Director and the team
• Provide a visible security presence to deter potential misconduct and maintain a safe environment
• Provide assistance and information to attendees as needed
• Prepare incident reports detailing security-related activities and incidents
• Must have great communication, problem solving, organizational and people skills.
• Must follow dress code and have exemplary behavior in front of clients and guests when diffusing a situation.

• Outstanding surveillance and observation skills
• Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure
• Professional attitude and appearance
• Ability to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Knowledgeable to safety, security operations and procedures
• Knowledgeable of state laws and regulations
• Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
• Has worked at least one event (Birthday, Wedding, etc.)

Pay:

• Pay is based on the event that is worked. We have events which are a couple of hours to possibly 8 hours. Rate of pay is $20.00 an hour. There are events almost every weekend. We also have events on Sundays, weekdays, mornings, evenings & holidays.
