Job Title: Business Analyst (Airline Ticketing)
Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst with extensive experience in airline ticketing systems to join our team.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of airline industry operations, ticketing processes, and related technologies.
As a Business Analyst, you will play a crucial role in analyzing business requirements, identifying opportunities for improvement,
and implementing solutions to enhance our airline ticketing systems and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Requirement Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements related to airline ticketing systems, processes, and functionalities.
Analysis and Documentation: Analyze business processes, workflows, and data to identify areas for improvement. Document current processes and propose recommendations for enhancements or optimizations.
System Evaluation: Evaluate existing airline ticketing systems, software, and tools to identify strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for integration or enhancement.
Solution Design: Work closely with cross-functional teams including IT, operations, and customer service to design solutions that address business needs and improve efficiency in ticketing processes.
Functional Testing: Develop and execute test cases to ensure the successful implementation of new features, functionalities, or system enhancements. Collaborate with quality assurance teams to conduct thorough testing and validation.
Change Management: Facilitate the change management process by communicating proposed changes, gathering feedback from stakeholders, and ensuring smooth transition and adoption of new processes or systems.
Training and Support: Provide training and support to end-users on new features, functionalities, and processes related to airline ticketing systems. Serve as a subject matter expert and resource for troubleshooting and resolving ticketing-related issues.
Data Analysis: Utilize data analysis techniques to extract insights, identify trends, and make data-driven recommendations for improving ticketing processes, pricing strategies, and customer experience.
Compliance and Regulation: Stay informed about industry regulations, compliance requirements, and best practices related to airline ticketing. Ensure that ticketing systems and processes align with regulatory standards and industry guidelines.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field.
Proven experience ( 10 years) working as a Business Analyst in the airline industry with a focus on ticketing systems.
In-depth knowledge of airline ticketing processes, including reservations, bookings, fare rules, ticket issuance, and ancillary services.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather and interpret complex data from multiple sources.
Proficiency in business analysis tools and techniques such as process mapping, data modeling, and requirements elicitation.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
Experience working in Agile or iterative development environments is preferred.
Knowledge of airline industry standards (e.g., IATA) and ticketing regulations is a plus.
