Role and Responsibilities:
  • Quality Procedure Development: Develop and maintain quality procedures based on contract requirements and relevant regulations. These procedures outline the standards and processes that need to be followed to ensure consistent quality.
  • Process Monitoring and Analysis: Measure, monitor, and analyze various processes to identify areas for improvement and track performance. This includes conducting inspections, gathering data, and using analytical tools to assess quality and identify trends.
  • Corrective Actions and Continuous Improvement: Implement actions and initiatives to address identified issues, improve processes, and achieve continuous improvement goals. This may involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing corrective and preventive measures.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with safety protocols, environmental regulations, and company policies. Conduct regular inspections, assessments, and training to promote a safe working environment and mitigate risks.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records, generate reports, and document quality-related activities. This includes reporting findings to management, tracking trends, and ensuring proper documentation for audits or regulatory purposes.
  • Employee Training and Communication: Provide training to employees on quality procedures, safety protocols, and relevant regulations. Effectively communicate quality standards, expectations, and changes to stakeholders, promoting a culture of quality and safety.
  • Collaboration and Coordination: Work closely with cross-functional teams, such as production, operations, and procurement, to ensure consistent quality throughout the organization. Collaborate with suppliers, customers, and regulatory agencies to address quality-related concerns and maintain compliance.
  • Continuous Learning and Compliance Updates: Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and changes in regulations that may impact quality and compliance. Ensure the organization remains informed and compliant with relevant quality standards and regulations.
Qualifications and Educational Requirements:
  • Education: A bachelor's degree in a related field is often preferred, although relevant experience can also be considered in place of formal education.
  • Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of experience in quality systems or quality systems implementation is typically desired. This can include experience in quality control, quality assurance, process improvement, or related roles. Two to three (2-3 years) of experience on projects exceeding 500,000 square feet.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of Quality Systems: Familiarity with quality management systems, quality assurance principles, and industry-specific quality standards is important. This includes understanding processes like inspections, audits, corrective actions, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements, such as ISO standards or industry-specific regulations, is valuable. Understanding environmental health and safety regulations is often necessary to ensure compliance.
  • Safety Training: Completion of relevant safety training courses, such as the 30-hour OSHA Training course or its equivalent, demonstrates an understanding of safety protocols and regulations.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in using quality tools and software for data analysis, reporting, and documentation is beneficial. This can include statistical analysis software, quality management systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities are essential for monitoring processes, analyzing data, identifying trends, and implementing improvement initiatives.
  • Communication Skills: Effective communication skills are necessary to collaborate with cross-functional teams, train employees, and communicate quality-related information to stakeholders at various levels.
  • Attention to Detail: Being detail-oriented is crucial for conducting inspections, documenting findings, and ensuring compliance with quality procedures and standards.
  • Time Management and Organization: The ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work effectively, and meet deadlines is important in a fast-paced quality control environment.
  • Continuous Learning: A commitment to staying updated on industry best practices, quality standards, and regulatory changes is valuable for maintaining proficiency in the field.
  • Ability to Promote Company Mission: Expertly communicate with others, including workers with disabilities, and promote the company's mission, values, and goals. Demonstrating respect, empathy, and inclusivity in interactions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Applications: Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Flexibility: Adaptability and willingness to embrace change in a dynamic work environment. The ability to adjust to shifting priorities and handle unexpected challenges.
  • Strong Work Ethics: Demonstrating honesty, integrity, and reliability in all job-related responsibilities. Upholding ethical standards and a commitment to quality and safety.
Physical Demands and Environmental Demands:
  • Physical Stamina: The role may require prolonged periods of standing, walking, and moving around the work area.
  • Lifting and Carrying: The ability to lift and carry objects of varying weights is often necessary. This can range from light items to heavier objects, potentially up to 50 pounds or more.
  • Operating Equipment: Depending on the industry, using equipment such as floor buffers, sweepers, or other cleaning tools may be required. This can involve exertion of physical effort and coordination.
  • Bending and Stretching: The position may involve frequent bending, reaching, and stretching to perform inspections, access equipment, or reach items in different areas.
  • Vision and Focus: Specific vision abilities, including close vision and the ability to adjust focus, may be necessary for inspecting and observing details.
  • Temperature and Weather: Depending on the work location, exposure to different temperatures, humidity levels, or weather conditions may occur.
  • Chemical Exposure: In certain industries, there may be exposure to chemicals or hazardous materials. Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and proper handling protocols is essential.
  • Noise and Hazards: The work environment may include noise levels, potential hazards, or safety risks. Adhering to safety protocols and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) may be necessary
Environmental Demands:
The incumbent works on a daily basis with dangerous and toxic cleaning products that can be very harmful to one's health if not properly utilized. Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 70 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
Background Screening:Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain TIER 5 clearance.
