Insurance: Comprehensive Health, Dental, Vision, Life and an Employee Assistance Program. Supplemental Life may be purchased at group rates.
Paid Time Off: Twelve (12) holidays, vacation time (after 6 months) of three (3) weeks per year for the first eight (8) years of service, and sick time.
Retirement: Ohio Public Employees Retirement System (OPERS) with 14% annual employer contribution and Deferred Compensation Plans.
Cashiers perform basic math functions while collecting multiple forms of payment. You must be able to make change when necessary and accurately record payments for fillings, child support and post payments to our case management system while following all cash handling and office safety procedures. Cashiers will provide customer service in person, by phone, and through email.

Performs basic math functions to collect payments and make change.
Work closely with legal services clerks at the Clerk’s Office front counter.
Process all transactions accurately and efficiently in accordance with established policies and procedures by accepting payments by cash, check, or credit cards and issuing receipts.
Accepts filing fees for payments for complaints/applications, motions, court costs, restitution, Guardian ad Litem fees, mediation fees, appearance bond payments, child support payments, etc. via telephone or in-person.
Posts and balances payments received from clients and attorneys in the Court’s case management system.
Balances cash drawer with supporting documentation and summarizes daily cash receipts.
Answers and responds to internal and external telephone and in-person inquiries.
Performs daily communication with outside agencies, court personnel, attorneys, and clients.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Has no direct supervisory responsibility for staff members.
Standard office equipment and office technology such as copy machine, personal computer and telephone. Employee should be able to use standard POS device and calculator.
All court-related information regarding hearings, etc. that the employee may come in contact with by working in the facility.
Works in a potentially fast paced setting with moderate noise levels. May be subject to interruptions, quick deliverables, and changing work deadlines.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit, to speak clearly, and to hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. May be required to use repetitive motion.

Knowledge of cashier activities, effective interpersonal and communication skills; demonstrable mathematical and analytical skills, basic keyboarding skills, team player, excellent customer service skills, positive, helpful attitude, including the ability to deal with difficult personalities. Required to pass Cash Handling skills test, must score a minimum 24/30.
High school diploma or equivalent
