Custom Alarm/CCi is Hiring a Warehouse Coordinator Near Rochester, MN

Summary

The Warehouse Coordinator is responsible to oversee all functions of the inventory warehouse. Receive, store, secure and stage equipment, tools, parts, and supplies. Maintain a variety of computerized records. Lead by example and support the Vision, Purpose, and Core Values of the company.

Essential Functions

1. Control incoming and outgoing equipment and understand the status of jobs to be installed.

2. Maintain and active and accurate FIFO program.

3. Communicate and review upcoming installations with the Operations Manager, Project Managers, and Scheduling Coordinator and verify installation dates. Assure proper and prompt staging of jobs.

4. Arrange equipment deliveries to job sites and/or electricians as needed. This will be a shared responsibility with others in the Materials Department.

5. Create job tickets and stage equipment needed for jobs at least one day prior to installation.

6. Review and enter packing slip information into the computer records and verify that the proper equipment and quantity were received. Forward packing slips to the Accounts Payable Department.

7. Handle equipment repairs and returns. Research warranty dates and complete record keeping information to assure proper tracking of repaired/returned equipment. Forward paperwork to accounts payable and/or billing for proper credit or billing.

8. Coordinate the annual physical inventory process with the inventory team.

9. Review equipment listed on service repair orders and service tickets, assign inventory numbers, and submit paperwork to billing daily.

10. Manage any perishable items with shelf life so that we are always using the best possible material.

11. Maintain an active cycle counting program. Understand problem encountered and drive corrective action to prevent future problems.

12. Work with the Buyer/Planner to manage the disposition of parts returned from the field.

13. Responsible for the coordination and execution of the annual physical inventory.

14. Act as back-up to the Buyer/Planner when required.

15. Be available to assist in all areas of inventory and purchasing as needed. Attend job related seminars and training classes to continually refresh and update knowledge.

Education and Experience

1. High school diploma or equivalent

2. Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a related field is considered a plus, but is not required for consideration

3. Warehouse/materials experience is beneficial

1. Excellent communication skills including written, verbal and listening

2. Must be responsible, self-motivated, self-starter, personable and well-organized

3. Excellent judgment and decision-making abilities

4. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse groups

5. Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

The highest percentage of time is spent moving around. Standing, sitting, walking, stooping, and climbing stairs and ladders are essential functions of performing this job. Heights generally do not exceed six (6) feet but may at times range from six (6) to 15 feet. Lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling objects are necessary daily. Weights can range from 10 to 100 pounds. Reaching overhead and in front of the body is also necessary on a regular basis. Audio, visual, and verbal functions are vital aspects in this position. Use of a computer screen and keyboard is frequently necessary. Simultaneous movement of hands, wrists, and fingers is an important element. Driving a company vehicle is often required. Operating hand tools is necessary occasionally.

Working Conditions

Most of the day is spent in a climate-controlled warehouse environment, with some exposure to the outdoors. Occasional overtime and after-hours work may be required.

Other Requirements:

Regular and reliable attendance is required. A person in this position must have a valid driver’s license, an excellent driving record, and must be insurable under CCi’s auto insurance policy. Due to the security nature of our business, an offer of employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check and drug test.
