Job Summary:
Responsibility to the Quality Control Manager and/or Business Unit Manager for ensuring the quality system is maintained and followed in accordance with the ISO9001 / AS9100 international standard, as well as, reporting on the performance of the daily quality system for review and as a basis for improvement of the quality system. Additionally, the Quality Inspector is responsible for (and has the authority of) promoting the details of inspection methods and procedures used by the division in complying with the quality system and all applicable customer requirements. The Quality Inspector has the authority, organizational freedom and unrestricted access to the Quality Manager and/or Business Unit Manager to resolve matters associated with process or product quality.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Inspection of hardware and verification of processing parameters in accordance with customer requirements.
· Reporting nonconformities to be handled in such a way as to prevent their use.
· Help prevent the recurrence of nonconformities by identification, segregation, reporting, following corrective action and verifying the corrective action.
· Documentation of new process instructions and following of existing procedures that are issued the shop floor.
· Calibration of all active monitoring and measuring equipment.
· Adherence to tech plans and customer specifications, drawings and inspection records.
· Quality Manager liaison regarding quality
Qualifications:
· Minimum 2 years of quality inspection
· Able to work hard in a fast pace job shop setting
· Multi-task oriented & Detail oriented
· Ability to work overtime as needed
· Good attendance – no late, leave early, or absence
