Job Description 

• Safely and efficiently operate lift equipment, including a forklift, to move materials throughout the plant
• Operate digital scale (floor/tabletop)
• Lift, label, and stack materials, both inbound and outbound as required
• Utilize computer equipment to generate labels/scan materials
• Bring empty containers to all operators, remove loaded containers, and store containers them neatly in the correct storage area
• Break down cardboard before disposing in bins
• Verify quantities and part numbers of materials
• Sign off on materials before moving them to the next step in the process
• Load and unload materials including trailers at docks as directed
• Support and supply materials to multiple areas via means of forklift or Kanban
• Train other employees when needed
• Be able to operate the wrapper and strapping machine when applicable 
• Pick and confirm completed orders and palletize, wrap and mark pallets when applicable 
• Provide weights, pallet counts, and cart counts to the shipper when applicable 
• Tag orders with appropriate pro number when applicable 
• Ensure orders are tagged and loaded onto trucks appropriately when directed to by head shipper 
• Collect completed orders, palletize, weigh, and deliver information to the shipper 

Qualifications 

• Prior shipping experience is required
• Ability to read and decipher work orders
• Ability to lift 30-40 lbs. and maneuver 50 lbs.
• Ability to operate a forklift
• Effective communication skills including the ability to read/write English
• Basic mathematical skills (use of calculator)
• Basic computer skills (including SAP)
• Ability to stand for more than two thirds of the workday
• Must have the ability to fully understand directives/instruction and effectively communicate matters concerning safety, quality and productivity
• Must not have any disciplinary warnings or actions 
• Attendance record shall be in a Positive State
