Position: Business Development Executive (Remote)

Curation Health is at the forefront of revolutionizing healthcare delivery, dedicated to empowering healthcare provider organizations and health plans in their successful transition and scaling from fee-for-service to value-based care. Our core mission is to support clinicians and enhance overall patient care. We achieve this by partnering with leading risk-bearing healthcare providers and health plans to reduce clinician documentation burdens and elevate performance in value-based contracts.

At Curation Health, we leverage our cutting-edge value-based care technology and services to enable healthcare organizations to navigate this transition seamlessly. We firmly believe that delivering quality care requires the right data, delivered in a simple and intuitive way.

What sets us apart is our deep understanding of the healthcare landscape. Our team of healthcare veterans has firsthand experience in building the very electronic health records (EHRs) that our technology integrates with. We know what works and have honed our expertise in simplifying data access to empower providers.

Moreover, our unwavering focus on the end user drives us forward. After more than a decade of studying our users, we have gained valuable insights into the specific data they need to deliver better care and have mastered the art of getting that data to them effectively.

By combining our market-leading position, commitment to supporting clinicians, innovative AI-driven technology, and user-centric approach, Curation Health leads the charge in transforming healthcare delivery and improving patient outcomes.

Join us!

We are seeking a dynamic Business Development Executive to support our explosive growth and initiative strategic partnerships in 2023 and beyond.

The Business Development Executive is a highly collaborative and experienced healthcare sales executive responsible for initiating and closing highly complex and consultative sales opportunities including health systems and large, independent primary care medical groups. The BDE, reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, will be responsible for building strategic partnerships with value-based care organizations that support their cost and quality goals, while also accelerating Curation’s Health growth and profitability. Additionally, the Business Development Executive (BDE) will collaborate closely with Curation's executive leadership team, offering valuable market feedback and insights to support marketing, product development, and services initiatives.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead healthcare provider market sales and growth initiatives for Curation Health.
  • Collaborate with key customer stakeholders to develop a tailored and compelling business case that highlights the alignment between their goals and partnering with Curation Health. Effectively communicate the implications of maintaining the status quo, emphasizing the potential consequences, and missed opportunities that can arise from not embracing our solutions.
  • Engage in impactful discussions with C-level hospital and health system executives, as well as physician group management, to provoke insightful thinking and inspire decisive action, in-person and via phone/video.
  • Create a compelling sense of urgency by illustrating the direct consequences and missed opportunities for partners if they hesitate to forge strategic partnerships with Curation Health.
  • Travel to client meetings when appropriate (50-60% travel)
  • Lead responses to RFPs, reviewing MSAs and other contractual agreements, and participate in the preparation of project budgets.
  • Maintain a strong communications feedback loop with the product and services teams.
  • Collaborate with key internal stakeholders and SMEs throughout the sales process, from initial leads through contract closure, and handoff to the delivery team.
  • Keep any PHI and systems used in the sales process private and secure.

What you need:

  • 5-7 years of sales or business development experience selling in a consultative manner into executive leadership of Health Systems and large, independent primary care medical groups.
  • 5-7 years of professional experience working with healthcare enterprise software
  • Knowledge of value-based care principles
  • Experience leading a full client cycle: value-based selling, business case definition, ROI analysis, and networking with reference customers.
  • Strong C-Level interaction/communication skills; knowledge of healthcare environment, trends, and C-level issues.
  • Willingness to travel (@50-60%).
  • Excellent problem-solving/decision-making and strategic thinking skills.
  • Strong organizational skills; self-directed, motivated, and sensitive to deadlines.

How to Stand Out:

  • You have a knack for finding creative solutions and relish the thrill of overcoming obstacles in complex deals, even when faced with uncertainty.
  • You excel in active listening, communication, and building strong interpersonal connections.
  • Your writing, presentation, and persuasion skills are exceptional, enabling you to effectively convey ideas and engage others.
  • You genuinely enjoy collaborating with people, navigating interpersonal dynamics, skillfully handling differing perspectives and priorities, and driving action in conservative organizations.
  • Experience at a high-growth, early-stage organization (i.e., < 100 employees), where adaptability, resourcefulness, and a hands-on approach are key.

Who we want:

  • You’re a self-starter, you take initiative with your projects and drive them from start to finish. You’re comfortable working autonomously while proactively reaching out for support when needed.
  • You’re a leader. You understand that leadership comes from all levels of an organization, not just the C-Suite. You have a history of high performance in your previous roles.
  • You thrive in a fast-paced, remote environment. You can take feedback and organize it into repeatable business and technology processes.
  • You strive to maintain our atmosphere of kindness, respect, and clear and honest communication. When you fall short, you own it.
  • You’re able and willing to think and communicate at different levels, first envisioning the big picture and then diving deep into the details.
  • You have a customer-centric mindset and aim to produce useful things for internal and external customers.

A Few Benefits We Offer

  • This position has a salary range of $150,000-$170,000 with projectedOTE. This salary is a good-faith estimate for this position. The final salary offer will be determined after reviewing relevant factors, which include a candidate's qualifications and experience, where appropriate.

  • Curation Health does not limit PTO, with certain exceptions. The full policy will be provided.
