Position Summary

Constructs and installs fixtures, repairs and adjusts production equipment, and assures optimum equipment operation. Perform routine preventative maintenance and maintains equipment log book and spare parts inventory by performing the following duties personally. May be required to take care of exterior grounds.

Position Duties

• Responsible for preventive maintenance, overhaul, and repair of production machinery and mechanical equipment
• Observes machinery or mechanical equipment in operation and locates causes of trouble
• Repairs or replaces defective parts
• Operates equipment and machinery to test their performance
• Sets up and operates lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair part
• Submits purchase order requests for parts, materials, and equipment
• Completes daily maintenance reports and maintains accurate maintenance record
• Completes daily LOTO reports and maintains accurate maintenance records and logs to submit to OSHA monthly.
• Notifies management concerning the need for major repairs. Speaks with Pod leads on recurring fixes or breaks to avoid issues. 
• Performs minor building maintenance repairs
• Sweeps, mops, scrubs, dusts, and vacuums. Empties trash and garbage containers
• Maintains cleanliness of the work area and equipment

Qualifications/Skills

• At least 2 years of screen printing and/or digital imaging quality management experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
•  Strong skills in work planning, scheduling, and must have good judgment of color, design, and printing quality.
• Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. 
• Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions of practical situations to printing jobs.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. 
• Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
• Bilingual preferred-English/Spanish.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
•  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and employees.
