Job Overview

The primary focus for the role will be talent acquisition, working closely with leaders to successfully select talent for hourly positions across the facilitiy. Responsible for the new employee onboarding, focus on retention strategies, system integrity projects, compliance and overall talent acquisition activities. Additionally, will assist the HR Manager with complex HR tasks such as Employee Relations, Training, Onboarding, Benefits Management, and payroll functions. This position requires an extremely perceptive person who can relate to individuals of all levels in the organization. 

Responsibilities

  • Manage the human resource recruiting/staffing function.
  • Ensure adequate staffing is being provided by sourcing candidates using a variety of search methods to build a robust candidate pipeline.
  • Screen candidates by reviewing resumes and job applications and performing phone screenings.
  • Take ownership of candidate experience by designing and managing/developing job postings, job descriptions, and position requirements.
  • Facilitate the offer process by extending the offer and negotiating employment terms.
  • Manage onboarding and new hire process.
  • Stay abreast of recruiting trends and best practices.
  • Manage the overall interview, selection, and closing process.
  • Ensure all screening, hiring, and selection is done in accordance with employment laws and regulations.
  • Partners with employees and management to communicate various human resource policies, procedures, laws, standards, and other government regulations.
  • Conducts exit interviews, analyzes data, and make recommendations to the management team for corrective action and continuous improvement.
  • Maintains human resource information system records and compiles reports from the database as needed.
  • Any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

What we need from you:

  • Associates degree with a minimum of 2 years recruitment background preferred
  • Bi-lingual (English and Spanish) preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
  • Demonstrated ability to establish effective and cooperative working relationships built on trust
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to establish a working knowledge of applicant tracking and HRIS systems
  • Ability to manage a wide range of relationships with a variety of stakeholders
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Training will be provided to establish working knowledge of interview techniques and applicant screening methods
  • Understanding of employment laws and regulations
  • Ability to establish familiarity with a wide variety of sourcing avenues.
  • Ability to work with little or no supervision/take independent action to resolve problems.
