SUMMARY:
The Project Manager (PM) provides leadership, direction, and oversight during all phases of
construction around a fully operational jobsite. The PM will assist with organizing and overseeing
the construction process and ensuring projects are completed in a timely and efficient manner. The
PM is involved in all phases of the construction process: preconstruction, construction, and postconstruction. The Project Manager coordinates construction efforts, predicts, and resolves conflicts before they impact the project, and delivers timely and cost-effective solutions for our clients.
This position leads and manages projects from a financial and constructability perspective. The PM
ensures that the Owner’s highest expectations are met by delivering all projects on time, within
budget and in a safe manner.
This is a full time FLSA exempt position. It requires at least 40 hours per week with the ability to
work more if necessary.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Preconstruction (10%)
o Develops scopes of Work
o Identifies Phasing Plan/Schedule
o Acts as the Gate Keeper of Bidders Request for Information (BRFI’s)
o Prepares & monitors Submittal Log
• Construction (85%)
o Coordinates construction activities including workers, materials, and equipment.
o Ensures on time delivery of key project initiatives.
o On-site troubleshooting and/or technical support of priority operational
opportunities. Includes the ability to lead and participate in root cause problemsolving exercises in high pressure environment to arrive at and implement the
correct technical solution.
o Ensures that all construction specifications, standards and quality expectations are
met or exceeded.
o Utilizing OSHA construction and general industry regulations, ensures that projects
are installed in a safe manner
o Ensures cash flow is managed for assigned sites and projects. Assists in processing
cost issues.
o Leads, develops and implements projects per site master plans in the best interest of
owner.
o Maintains daily log of construction activities and upload to Procore.
o Reviews and monitors schedules to ensure project deadlines/tasks are being
completed on-time.
• Post Construction (5%)
o Assists in Closeout Documentation- As built Drawings.
o Follows Up on Warranty Items.
o Meets established deadlines and / or goals.
o Advises key stakeholders of unavoidable delays.
o Takes initiative and does whatever it takes to achieve goals.
MINIMUM REQUIRMENTS:
• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering,
Architecture, Civil Engineering or a related construction degree; or equivalent years of
transferable field experience.
• 5 years of project management experience in the commercial and/or industrial
environment.
• In-depth understanding of forecasting, budgeting, planning, design, schedule and scope
management.
• Strong and flexible management skills with ability to adapt to changes and workloads.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills where they can delegate tasks, motivate others,
and manage priorities in a deadline-oriented environment.
• Enthusiasm and Willingness to work with multiple personality types.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• MIOSHA 30-Hr. Training
• Minimum Training on utilizing Equipment (i.e., man lifts, hi-low, cranes)
• Technology competent in using the following Software: MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel, MS
Project, MS PowerPoint
Valued, but not required
• LEED-AP and/or WELL-AP preferred - 2 years of proven track recording managing projects
achieving a high level of environmental performance
• STSC certification
• Proficient with Construction Management software (i.e., Procore)
