POSITION SUMMARY:

The primary purpose of the Maintenance Technician I is to assist in all areas of the Casino, and Border House maintenance effort. The Maintenance Technician I provide front line support, working cooperatively with and under the direction of the Property Technician and Department Manger toward the completion of assigned projects. Due to the nature of the Technician's mostly casino floor working environment, the Technician I is often one of the Crystal Bay Casino's most visible guest service ambassadors. The Crystal Bay Casino relies heavily upon the Technician I to ensure the casino experience of visiting guests, employees and vendors is a positive one. The implementation of this position will assist the casino in maintaining a successful reputation Within the community and increase the level of service and expectation. The Maintenance Technician I is the entry level role within the maintenance department.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Safety - Recognizes, practices, and enforces safety rules and procedures when performing any and all tasks associated with this position

- Recognize, avoid, and report unsafe acts, conditions, accidents and injuries in writing and verbally to the Supervisor

The Technician I may be responsible for carrying out assigned tasks associated with Fall/Winter snow removal; Spring/Summer landscaping, grounds keeping; maintenance of lighting and trash removal for the Casino; maintaining marquee content, maintaining daily, weekly and monthly Maintenance Checklists; other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Manager. The Technician is responsible for maintaining all lighting, filter replacements, ensure lavatory and toilet functionality, minor equipment, installation, paint touch up, and routine casino walk thru for areas in need of attention.

DELIVERIES:

May assist with construction/maintenance deliveries to and from the Crystal Bay Casino.

SPECIAL EVENTS/OTHER DUTIES

Work with the Marketing staff to ensure proper set up/breakdown of stage, trash, chairs, and other equipment. May affix or remove signage for special events; Assists staff following an event. Other projects as delegated by the Supervisor. Acts as a liaison, when necessary between Crystal Bay Casino and its subcontractors, vendors, and support staff by offering assistance and/or guidance as needed.
