SUMMARY

• Local Candidates Only - This position is onsite at our Mt. Juliet, TN location for 50% of the time.
• No corp-to-corp or third-party candidates will be considered. This position has a chance of converting full-time, so need W2 local candidates with no sponsorship required.
• Hourly compensation will be based on experience. 15-25 hours a week starting out, and schedule could change with notice. 
• Multiple openings may be available depending on the skill levels of candidates selected.

Job Description: We are seeking a talented and motivated Part-Time Java Developer to join our team. This position will require you to work onsite at our Mt. Juliet, TN location for 50% of the time. As a Java Developer, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining Java-based applications to support our business needs. This is an hourly position, and compensation will be based on experience.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements.
• Design, develop, and implement high-quality Java-based applications.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues in existing software applications.
• Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to coding standards.
• Work closely with QA engineers to ensure thorough testing of developed software.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and best practices in Java development.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience as a Java Developer or similar role.
• Proficiency in Java programming language and related frameworks (e.g., Spring, Hibernate).
• Strong understanding of object-oriented design principles and software development best practices.
• Experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
