Crowne Plaza San Antonio Airport is Hiring a Hotel Sales Administrator Near San Antonio, TX

The Crowne Plaza San Antonio Airport hotel is looking for a friendly Sales Admin to join our Sales team who genuinely enjoys being around people and can manage multiple tasks at once. The candidates must have a professional appearance and experience in customer service, preferably in event planning and catering within the hospitality service industry.

This is a full-time position, generally working from Monday through Friday; however, must be available to work weekends as needed.

Principal Responsibilities:

Provide administrative support to the Director of Sales and Food and Beverage Department in coordinating and disbursing information related to banquet sales and event planning.

Essential Functions:

  • Data entry using computer applications. Examples include correspondence, reports, marketing pieces, direct mail, contracts, internal forms, schedule of events, report of conventions, histories, typing annual/trimester reviews.
  • Copying and distribution of internal/external letters, forms, bookings, contracts, resumes, room lists, schedules, and mail.
  • Special projects as required include the following: Incentive Manual, D-base reports, creating and updating forms and correspondence.
  • Email correspondence directed by managers as needed.
  • Filing, faxing and distribution of incoming mail.
  • Maintenance of computer data for Sales Department including updating and troubleshooting.
  • Analysis of weekly correspondence and Holiday Analysis Report.
  • Prepare and process purchase orders and check requests.
  • Maintain personnel files, including time and attendance records.

Other Duties:

Specific Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and to be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essentials functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.

  • Basic mathematical skills
  • Computer literate to create special forms
  • Ability to speak the English language to effectively communicate with customers and hotel team members
  • Interpersonal skills to provide overall guest satisfaction

Qualifying Standards:

Education

High School graduate or equivalent required.

Experience

One to two years of prior event planning and catering experience is preferred, within the hotel service industry.

Licenses or Certificates

None.

Grooming

All team members must maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance (specific standards available).

Other

Applicants with additional language skills preferred.
