Job Summary:
First State Auto Group is seeking a highly skilled Automotive Technician to join our team in Santa Fe, New Mexico. This position is a full-time, individual contributor role within our fast-paced and dynamic auto industry. As an Automotive Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing and servicing a variety of vehicles, ensuring they are in top operating condition for our customers.
Compensation & Benefits:
This is a full-time, salaried position with an annual compensation range of $50,000 to $100,000, based on experience and skill level. Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and technical issues on a variety of vehicles including cars, trucks, and SUVs
- Perform routine maintenance and service tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and tune-ups
- Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to effectively troubleshoot and resolve issues
- Keep accurate records of all repairs and services performed
- Communicate with Service Advisors and customers to explain repairs and provide recommendations for preventative maintenance
- Continuously attend training and development programs to stay current on industry advancements and technologies
- Ensure a clean and organized work environment while adhering to all safety standards and regulations
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade school degree preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Automotive Technician
- Ability to diagnose and repair a variety of vehicle makes and models
- Strong knowledge of automotive systems and components
- Proficient in utilizing diagnostic tools and software
- Excellent problem-solving and time management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Must have own tools
