Position Summary

Under direct supervision, assists in the coordination of maintenance and repair activities throughout the facility and handles all floor care duties

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

·Follows all facility policies and procedures in regard to the operation of the Maintenance Department

·Performs routine checks on major systems such as auxiliary generator, fire alarms, door alarms, nurse call system, and department equipment

·Conducts periodic inspections of the building

·Repairs all damages to hallways, walls, ceilings, floors, roof, and resident rooms, as requested

·Assists with duties regarding electrical, plumbing, painting, carpentry, including furniture refinishing/repair, mechanics including equipment and systems, heating, cooling, and water systems

·Maintains outside yards and sidewalks including mowing, trimming, raking, salting, shoveling, and sanding

·Performs on-call responsibilities in the event of mechanical failure or emergency

·Maintain emergency generator according to facility policy and regulations

·Performs other related duties as required or requested

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

·Highschool diploma or equivalent

·1 year of maintenance experience preferred

·Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing in English

Work Environment –Office

This job operates in a professional office environment with minimal exposure to dust, chemicals ornoise. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
