Critical Process Systems Group is Hiring a Controller Near Boise, ID

This position is with our company Diversified Fluid Solutions, which manufactures a variety of chemical blending and distribution equipment, provides technical expertise, and delivers flawless support to meet a diverse array of high purity chemical applications.
SUMMARY: This position is responsible for handling all aspects of finance and accounting for small but rapidly growing, complex manufacturer of process equipment. Key member of the management team interacting with the department managers throughout the business and helping to drive business initiatives and representing finance in all business decision making.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following;
  • Execute/oversee all accounting transactions in accordance with GAAP for manufacturing business.
  • Prepare timely and accurate month end financial reporting and analysis including project margin reports and % complete margin reports.
  • Monitor accounts receivable and collections; establish and manage customer credit limits.
  • Prepare comprehensive detailed annual P&L, cash flow, balance sheet and capital spending budgets.
  • Prepare detailed financial forecast updates monthly or quarterly as needed.
  • Oversee ERP system and make sure it is being used correctly by upstream and downstream users and participate in selection, implementation, training and monitoring of future systems.
  • Prepare reports and summaries for supervisors and managers and perform project cost analysis.
  • Provide estimating team with appropriate budget rates; review estimating methodology and assumptions for accuracy/reasonableness.
  • Perform make/buy analysis and prepare weekly data reporting for management.
  • Prepare variance analysis and explanations for management.
  • Post to the General Ledger, trial balance, adjustments, journal entries.
  • Assist Parent Company Corporate Controller and Parent CFO with various assignments.
  • Support financial audits and bank audits and prepare sales and use tax reports.
  • Work closely with Purchasing and Inventory Control staff.
  • Supervises a part time resource to handle some of the routine bookkeeping/accounting tasks.
  • Position will require weekly travel for training for roughly six (6) to eighteen (18) months and eligible for additional compensation for commensurate travel.

SPECIFICATIONS and QUALIFICATIONS

  • Work collaboratively with others in identifying resources and sharing the allocation of resources.
  • Superior computer skills; Windows-based accounting software, strong Excel, Word, Outlook.
Education and/or experience
Two-year business degree and three or more years accounting experience including A/R, A/P general accounting or equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and prior Accounting in a Manufacturing environment is a must.
Language skills
  • Demonstrated exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience utilizing QuickBooks, with adaptability transitioning to new systems
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from small and large groups
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to apply mathematical skills and analyze performance trends in data; Demonstrated experience applying structured problem-solving and decision-making tools and methods.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to analyze financial information, identify discrepancies and provide solutions; Ability to identify problems, collect information, establish facts, and suggest solutions; Ability to develop and support conclusions.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to lift and move material. The employee frequently is required to walk, bend, lift and use arms, hands and fingers to reach, lift, handle, and feel products. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move products up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment characteristics include periodic noise increases, although for the most part the environment is usually quiet. Safety glasses and other required protection should be worn when out in the shop area.
