Responsibilities

We are seeking a mission-focused Cybersecurity and Information Assurance Lead Project Manager to support and contribute to our government customer’s success in Washington, DC!

The Cybersecurity and Information Assurance Lead PM has four primary functional areas: Cyber Operations Services, Oversight & Compliance, Security Assessments, and, Policy, Planning & Training and Risk Management.

The team shall assist in the overall IT security compliance of S-83 information systems and programs, to include reviewing, updating and developing core documentation for Information System Continuous Monitoring (ISCM), Contingency Planning, incident handling, risk analysis and mitigation, IT security baseline compliance, and privacy. The team shall provide ongoing recommendations for mitigation of all issues and risks affecting the environment within the scope of this statement of work.

Duties, Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Provides project oversight, coordination and management for each work task as required.
  • Develops and maintains project plan(s) and schedules to support activities; project plan status reports shall follow a review schedule to track project progress, finances, risk and/or issues, status and resolutions.
  • Provides weekly Status Reports documenting activities of the previous week’s and identifying planned activities for the following months
    • The reports must include, at a minimum, the following information:
      • Overview of work completed, in progress, and planned for each task, by subtask
      • Personnel, labor categories and hours expended on each task, by subtask
      • Status of individual deliverables and all planned activities for each task, by subtask
      • Identification of risk areas with recommended remedial actions.
      • Status of all issues and risks identified during previous week’s status reports.
  • Provides monthly Quality and Performance Reports
    • Each report must include the following for each task and subtask:
      • Scheduled deliverables and planned delivery dates.
      • Actual delivery dates.
      • Deliverables accepted.
      • Deliverables rejected with reason and corrective action steps taken.

Qualifications

Required Experience, Education, Skills & Technologies

  • Bachelors Degree with 7-8 years experience 
  • PMP Certification
  • Experience with managing Federal contracts projects and must have the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Understanding of the principles, methods, or tools for developing, scheduling, coordinating, and managing projects and resources, including monitoring and inspecting costs, work, and performance.
  • Ability to facilitate workshops that foster buy in and drive solutions that meet business needs and adhere to DOT strategies.
  • Understanding of IT governance and management in the federal sector
  • Understanding of information assurance, cybersecurity, privacy policies disciplines, methodologies including but not limited to National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Risk Management Framework (RMF), NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF)
  • Understand the Federal Government's deployment of Information Security Continuous Monitoring (ISCM), the Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation (CDM) Program, organizational phases and technologies.
  • Understanding of information assurance, cyber security, privacy policies disciplines, methodologies i.e. Cyber Security and Risk Management Framework(s), Federal compliance standards such as National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) 800-53, FIPS, FedRAMP.
  • Understanding of Identity, Credential and Access Management (ICAM) implementation.
  • Ability to work with customers to assess needs, provide assistance, resolve problems, satisfy expectations; knows products and services.
  • Understanding of the principles, methods, or tools for developing, scheduling, coordinating, and managing projects and resources, including monitoring work, and performance.
  • Understanding of the principles, methods, and tools of quality assurance and quality control used to ensure a product fulfills functional requirements and standards.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Teams, Power BI and SharePoint.
