Activities Supervisor

Job Description

The Activities Supervisor is responsible for planning, organizing, and supervising recreational and social activities for individuals or groups. The Activities Supervisor will work with a team to create and implement programs that promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a variety of recreational and social activities for individuals or groups.
• Coordinate and supervise staff and volunteers to ensure activities are carried out effectively and safely.
• Assist in the development of budgets and manage expenses related to activities.
• Ensure that all activities are in compliance with regulations and policies.
• Proactively work to sell all the cabanas for the day.
• Communicate with participants, families, and staff to ensure that activities meet their needs and interests.
• Provide training and support to staff and volunteers to ensure they are equipped to carry out activities effectively.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of activities and make adjustments as needed.
• Maintain accurate records and reports related to activities.
• Ensure towel hut is stocked daily with towels, all games are put out and the daily cabana rates are updated.
• Ensure all beach towels are picked up from the pool and the beach and transferred to Laundry for cleaning in a timely manner.
• In the absence of Activities Manager complete all administrative duties not limited to schedules and daily reports.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an Activities Supervisor or similar role
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Knowledge of recreational and social activities for individuals or groups
• Ability to manage budgets and expenses.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree in Recreation, Leisure Studies, or related field preferred
