Cree Lighting is Hiring a Human Resources Generalist Near Racine, WI

Overview

The Human Resources Generalist helps build and administer human resource-related programs and processes for our Racine Wisconsin based Headquarters, supporting professional, production, technical, and administrative employees. This is your opportunity to leverage your experience and help create the programs that support our talented, dedicated workforce.

In this role, the Generalist is responsible for the planning, organizing and execution of numerous operational human resources-related activities. A successful candidate will be a resourceful problem solver who can work in a high-speed environment around technical obstacles and will be adept at the implementation of practical solutions or test procedures. 

Responsibilities

  • Maintain various HR systems to ensure continued operations, generation of HR metrics, and resolve problems. Generate routine reports and design special reports as requested.
  • Assist with the coordination of benefits and payroll administration responsibilities as needed.
  • Maintain employee records, including entering, updating and modifying information as needed.
  • Work with HR team members, employees and benefit providers in the administration and reconciliations for FMLA and Short-Term Disability.
  • Subject matter expert providing information and assisting in problem resolution with benefit and policy related questions for employees
  • Support the HR team with System administration for Performance evaluation cycle and Benefits enrollments
  • Partner with HR team in the development and implementation of a variety of HR and culture initiatives that are aligned with the business strategy
  • Ensure role is perceived as an objective resource for employees in regards to policies, procedures, and programs.

Qualifications

  • 3 years of human resources experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field highly desired
  • Demonstrated HR coordinator and Generalist experience with strong HRIS and leave administration experience
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Fundamental knowledge of compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices
  • Ability to review and understand Company policies and practices
  • Strong organization and analytical skills, high attention to detail, and problem-solving ability
  • Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written, with all levels of employees and executives, in an attentive, friendly, and professional manner.
  • High Proficiency with MS Outlook, Word, Excel PowerPoint and a variety of HR Information Systems
  • Ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and talent management systems
  • Must be able to handle confidential matters and communicate in a professional and tactful manner
  • Understanding of Workers Compensation administration preferred
