Description

The IT Helpdesk Specialist is a frontline support resource, providing technical assistance and resolving IT-related issues for our employees. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of our technological infrastructure and supporting staff in utilizing our systems efficiently.

This role is onsite and requires some Saturday hours.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for upholding and adhering to Credit Union of Georgia brand standards including following all of the steps of our unique member journEASE experience and to Engage, Ask, Solve and Excite and deliver top level member service every time.
  • Respond to user inquiries to the help desk and troubleshoot IT-related problems via phone, email, remote access, or in-person, ensuring timely resolution or escalation.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, peripherals and associated technology.
  • Work and coordinate with IT team and other departments to schedule hardware refreshes and software updates and upgrades.
  • Assist in creating and managing user accounts, permissions, and access controls for various systems.
  • Conduct routine maintenance, updates, and patch management on systems and equipment to ensure optimal performance and security.
  • Conduct basic user training sessions as needed.
  • Log, track, and prioritize support tickets using the helpdesk ticketing system, ensuring proper documentation and resolution timelines.
  • Work closely with other IT team members, vendors, and departments to resolve complex issues or escalate when necessary.
  • Assist in promoting and enforcing IT security policies, ensuring compliance with data protection guidelines, cybersecurity, and industry best practices.

Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or relevant field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered. CompTIA certifications would be welcomed.

Experience:

  • At least 1 year in an IT support or helpdesk role.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Effective communication skills.
  • Strong commitment to customer service.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Windows desktop and associated software.
  • Knowledge of networking principles.
  • Excellent communication skills.
