The Global Health Training, Advisory and Support Contract (GHTASC) delivers effective global health programming to advance the mission of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), Bureau for Global Health (GH) through institutional support and workforce development services from junior, mid-level, senior and expert advisory, and administrative professionals.
Credence and its partner, the Public Health Institute (PHI), are both employers for GHTASC, and are seeking a Junior Health Equity Diversity and Inclusive Development Program Assistant under GHTASC. This position will be hired under Public Health Institute (PHI).
Position Summary:
The Junior Health Equity Diversity and Inclusive Development Program Assistant (Junior Program Assistant) provides programmatic and administrative services to USAID as an Institutional Support Contractor under the GHTASC contract.
The Junior Health Equity Diversity and Inclusive Development Program Assistant performs a variety of routine and complex programmatic and administrative duties. These duties range from scheduling briefings and meetings and maintaining program files, collating information, and facilitating internal and external correspondence. The Junior Program Assistant supports the (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility) DEIA team and provides input on related work including work related to the Global Health Bureau’s DEIA working group. The position works with other staff on the GH DEIA team to assist in areas such as onboarding new staff and providing overall programmatic and administrative support. The incumbent is expected to become familiar with USAID business systems, USAID’s DEIA Strategy, USAID’s Equity Action Plan, USAID’s Locally Led Development Policy, as well as USAID’s Inclusive Development Policies and technical issues and policies pertaining to the health focus area(s) of the team to support the team in day-to-day functions. The Junior Program Assistant must develop a strong working knowledge of applicable USAID guidelines, practices, and procedures. The Junior Program Assistant ranks tasks in order of importance and impending deadlines and handles several tasks simultaneously, works in multiple teams, and seeks guidance when needed.
This is a one-year time-limited position.
Full pay range for this position is $23.13 to $41.38 per hour, with the starting wage determined based on candidate’s knowledge, skills, and experience, as well as budget availability.
