Senior Tax Accountant
$80,000 to $100,000 plus bonus

Our client is a large $750M publicly traded organization and is the worldwide leader in what the firm produces. The company is seeking to add an internal tax department to review the income tax returns done by the Big 4 external tax team and to handle other various project related matters in tax.
This Senior Tax Accountant candidate will team up with marketing, finance, accounting. A successful candidate will be highly motivated with a demonstrated understanding of federal income tax law, be able to manage multiple projects at once and have a willingness to learn new areas of tax.

Position Responsibilities as a Senior Tax Accountant:

• Will be responsible for various projects related to tax matters with sales and use, property tax abatements, Unicap calculation
• Calculating income tax payments
• Reviewing income tax returns and handling transfer pricing issues
• Will review tax adjustments and calculations for tax cash forecasting, quarterly provision and tax return processes
• Research and evaluate complex federal issues for tax cash forecasting, financial statement, and tax return reporting
• oversight of indirect tax returns
• Prepare and assist with IRS audit support
• Prepare and assist with ASC 740 calculations (actual provision work is outsourced to a third party)

Basic Qualifications for the Senior Tax Accountant:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business or a related field
• 3 years of corporate income tax experience.
• Understanding of sales and use tax is preferred
• Experience using analytical, collaboration, communication and organizational skills
