Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join their team. As a non-profit organization that's requires someone with a deep understanding of fund accounting principles and experience in financial reporting within the non-profit sector.

Overview of the Senior Accountant Role:
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and accounting standards.
- Perform monthly and year-end closing activities, including reconciliations and accruals.
- Report annually on an accrual basis, adhering to deadlines and maintaining meticulous records.
- Assist in the preparation for audits, providing necessary documentation and support as required.
- Import financial data from Excel into Abila software, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Manage HR, policy, and compliance matters related to finance, including onboarding processes and ensuring adherence to organizational policies and procedures.
Preferred Experience for the Senior Accountant:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
- Previous experience in fund accounting within the non-profit sector.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and non-profit accounting principles.
- Experience with Abila software or similar accounting systems preferred.
