CFS has partnered with a growing Construction company that's looking to hire a Project Accountant. Our client has been in business for over 100 years and their corporate office is located in Grand Rapids. They also have other locations throughout the United States. Project Accountant Responsibilities:
- Prepare Monthly Pay Applications using AIA G702/G703 and other Accounts Receivable Invoice Forms as required by Owner Contract.
- Ensure Subcontractor/Suppliers Waivers of Lien are received and correct.
- Ensure all Compliance requirements for W-9's, Insurance Certificates, EEO, and other documents are met by Subcontractors and Suppliers.
- Prepare Sworn Statements for billings as required.
- Assist in the follow-up on outstanding accounts receivable invoices and ensure positive cash flow for the company and its' subcontractors/suppliers.
- Ensure contracts and change orders are processed accurately and timely.
- Analyze project variances and work with the project team to ensure corrective action is taken.
- Ensure Project Files are organized and follow project document guidelines.
- Work closely with our customers to ensure their reporting needs are met.
- Close out project accounts upon project completion.
- Assist with special projects as requested.
Project Accountant Requirements:
- Associates or Bachelors degree (preferred) or relevant experience
- 3 years of experience
- Experience within the construction industry.
- A can-do attitude
- Accuracy is critical for success in this role
