Creative Financial Staffing has partnered with a Manufacturing company, seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team in Wakefield, MA.

Responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Specialist :

• Accurately post invoices into the system, verifying for accuracy and ensuring proper allocation of account codes
• Manage non-purchase order invoices, facilitating approval processes within the department
• Proactively resolve invoice discrepancies and issues prior to payment processing
• Audit and review employee travel and expense reports to ensure compliance with company policies
• Facilitate the setup of new suppliers and maintain supplier profiles, updating information as necessary
• Verify and manage all third-party banking information to ensure accuracy and security
• Reconcile third-party statements to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records
• Generate weekly payment proposals, ensuring timely and accurate processing of payments
• Enter and reconcile all in-transit invoices at month-end to maintain accurate financial records
• Assist with month-end closing activities and reporting requirements
• Perform additional duties as needed to support the finance team and overall business operations

Background expected of the Accounts Payable Specialist :

• Associates degree or experience equivalent
• Prior experience of an ERP system preferred but not required
