HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST SUMMARY : In this important role, you will be the face of our organization for new hires, creating a positive and welcoming onboarding experience.

  • Drive the end-to-end recruitment process by collaborating with hiring managers and leadership to design effective strategies.
  • Utilize diverse job boards and innovative approaches for complex positions.
  • Conduct applicant screening and interviews, provide salary recommendations based on internal equity, and manage job offer processes, including background checks and drug testing.
  • Oversee new hire documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with eVerify, I-9, and certification processes.
  • Validate payroll entries, time-off accruals, and other details for new hires, lead orientation, and help maintain personnel files.
  • Manage the assigned committee, referral program, job fairs, and recognition initiatives.
  • Conduct new hire survey, stay and exit interviews, oversee rewards programs.
  • Proactively cross-train on HR subjects for comprehensive coverage.
  • Champion best practices and undertake additional responsibilities as needed.

SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES : This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS : To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

EDUCATION AND / OR EXPERIENCE : Bachelor's degree in human resources or other relevant degree field or 4 years of relevant human resource experience.

Recruiting experience a plus.

LANGUAGE SKILLS : Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS : Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.

REASONING ABILITY : Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form.

Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

COMPUTER SKILLS : Working knowledge of Office software programs in HRIS, Database software; Internet software; PowerPoint, Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS : Must possess a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
