Cradles to Crayons Child Care LLC is Hiring an Office Manager Near Lansing, MI

The office Manager will organize and coordinate office administration and procedures, in order to ensure organizational effectiveness, efficiency, and safety. The Office Manager is responsible for developing intra-office communication protocols, streamlining administrative procedures, inventory control, center custodial and kitchen staff supervision. The successful office manager is an energetic professional who doesn't mind wearing multiple hats. Experienced in handling a wide range of administrative duties and executive support-related tasks and able to work independently with little or no supervision. Well organized, flexible, and enjoys the administrative challenges of supporting an office of diverse people.
Office manager responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain the center’s front desk
  • Operate the Center’s communication to employees, families, partners, community, through social media, email, newsletters, and family boards.
  • ACD Annual applications
  • Prepares and maintains permanent records in Procare.
  • Schedules center cleanings, inspections, maintenance, etc.
  • Know and implement all State licensing and health requirements.
  • Conduct and record monthly Fire and Tornado Drills.
  • Orders supplies for and books
  • Center field trips and special activities
  • Professional Development Day supplies/food
  • Families in Partnership Meetings
  • Team Bonding events
  • Team Member Birthdays
  • New Hire gifts
  • All center and classroom supplies through designated suppliers within allotted budget.
  • Meets with Program Accountant bi-weekly to ensure the center budget's implementation.
  • Point person for maintenance, mailing, shipping, supplies, equipment, bills, and errands.
  • Organize and schedule meetings and appointments.
  • Employee Benefit enrollment
  • Organize office operations and procedures.
  • Coordinate support for issues with all office and center equipment.
  • Provide general support to visitors.
  • Creates PowerPoint slides for meetings, training, and presentations.
  • Remain updated on technical and professional knowledge by attending educational workshops, joining professional associations, building networks with fellow professionals, and reviewing of industry publications
  • Participate actively in the planning and execution of company events
  • Recruit, select, and hire Kitchen managers and Custodial staff.
  • Evaluate and manage the kitchen manager and Custodian performance.
  • Organize orientation and training of new staff members
  • Establish and monitor procedures for record-keeping
  • Ensure security, integrity, and confidentiality of data
  • Maintain a safe, secure, and pleasant work environment
