Description

Responsible for Full-Cycle Accounts Payable processing including examining, verifying, and reconciling a variety of transactions for a manufacturing firm. Supervise AP team and participate in the month end close process. Review, match and post large volumes of purchase orders/packing slips and vendor invoices in NetSuite software. Create ad-hoc reports using NetSuite and Excel to aid management in identifying trends and patterns. 

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of progressive accounting experience (manufacturing, and experience with global entities is a plus). Degree in Accounting ideal.
• Willing to manage a team of AP Specialists, assist in all areas of AP, from clerical processing, clearing GRNI to creating reports.
• Must be familiar working in a high-volume processing.
• Strong organizational, analytical and account reconciliation skills.
• Knowledge of debits and credits.
• Strong MS Excel skills including vlookups, tables and pivot charts, and ability to analyze data.
• Handle confidential information in a discreet, professional manner.
• Work with vendors/employees at all levels promptly and professionally, and work in a team-oriented environment across various departments.
• Ability to exercise good judgment; make decisions in logical and rational manner; demonstrate

Job Responsibilities

•  Responsible for submitting weekly payment runs to CFO, including determining what should be paid by working with purchasing team, optimizing discounts and communicating with vendors.
• Manage 2 direct reports within AP team, along with external software that assists in processing invoices.
• Assist in cleaning-up issues by working with AP team, vendors and other departments within CPS. 
• Review progress of AP team using tracking models including oneself e.g. number of invoices each person is processing in NetSuite and implement improvements.
• Tracking and timely clean-up of GRNI (goods received not invoiced), goal is to have less than 2 days.
• Strong understanding of 3-way match and PO’s used in manufacturing companies.
• Able to review expense reports, assist employees and properly assign GL accounts to expenditures
• Manage monthly closing of AP, reconcile statements, and assist with the annual audit. 
• Participate in the month end close process including analyzing the monthly income statement for transactions booked in the right period.
• Oversee internal reimbursement of credit cards.
• Review accuracy of and look for opportunities to enhance utilization of outsourced AP processor.
• Responsible for preparing and issuing 1099’s, along with improving the process.
• Research, resolve and communicate any discrepancies or outstanding balances on vendor accounts.
• Jointly develop and initiate with the team and other departments cross functional process improvements
• Help implement and maintain systems, procedures, and policies, including accounts payable functions to ensure adherence to company guidelines.
• Follow all policies and procedures of Occupational Safety and Health, Human Resources and Quality Department. Report any safety deficiency to immediate supervisor.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
