CPI Security is Hiring a Project Manager Near Charlotte, NC

CPI Security is seeking a highly organized and experienced IT Implementation Project Manager to oversee and drive IT projects within the electronic security industry. The ideal candidate will possess strong project management skills, and a deep understanding of IT systems and infrastructure. This role requires effective communication, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, CPI Security was founded in 1991 on an entrepreneurial spirit and a passion for helping and protecting others. What started as a company of 10 employees and 300 customers has grown into one of the nation's top 10 largest security providers with over 750 employees. Responsibilities:
  1. Project Planning and Management:
    • Develop comprehensive and maintain project plans, scope, objectives, timelines, resources, and budget allocation.
    • Coordinate with stakeholders and Business Analyst to define project requirements and expectations.
    • Create, maintain and communicate project documentation, including status reports, risk assessments, and issue logs.
    • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or delays, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure on-time delivery.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  2. Team Leadership and Collaboration:
    • Lead and motivate project teams, ensuring alignment with project goals and objectives.
    • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among team members, stakeholders, and external vendors.
    • Coordinate tasks and responsibilities appropriately, ensuring accountability and ownership within the team.
  3. Technical Expertise:
    • Possess a strong understanding of IT systems, networks, and infrastructure.
    • Work closely with IT professionals to design, implement, and integrate electronic solutions.
    • Evaluate and contribute to technological requirements and recommend appropriate hardware, software, and security protocols to meet project objectives.
  4. Quality Assurance and Testing:
    • Ensure the development, implement and alignment to testing strategies to ensure the reliability, functionality, and security of IT systems and electronic security solutions.
    • Conduct thorough quality assurance reviews, addressing any issues or deficiencies identified during testing.
    • Report on Quality management within projects.
  5. Stakeholder Management:
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, milestones, and deliverables.
    • Manage stakeholder expectations and address any concerns or feedback in a timely and professional manner.
  6. Continuous Improvement:
    • Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains within IT implementation projects.
    • Collect and analyze project data to measure performance metrics and identify areas for optimization.
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project delivery processes and outcomes.
    • Mentor and coach team members.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • Active PMI-PMP is required.
  • 5 years of Project Management experience in application development
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software, such as Microsoft Project, and Azure DevOps.
  • Ability to work in office 5 days a week.
