A Project Directoris responsible forleading the company’s Project Management teams. They are responsible for ensuring the delivery of an industry-best customer experience by turning over projects on time, under budget, and in line with CP Builds “CLEAR” QA/QC program.

Project Directors are primarily office-based but do split their time between the office and the field as required. They travel, as necessary. They bear the oversight responsibility for the physical and financial success of each project post-contract.

A Project Director is a master communicator. They train, mentor, and build people. They understand, manage, and optimize performance throughProject Controls.

Project Directors:

• Manage using“The 5 Practices of Exemplary Leadership:” Model the way; Inspire a shared vision; Challenge the process; Enable others to act; Encourage the heart.
• Manageday-to-dayoperations of the Project Management Team using the “5 CLEARS”: Clear Expectations, Clear Capability, Clear Measurement, Clear Feedback, and Clear Consequences.
• “Champion Technology”and “Act on Data” in following established processes and utilization of systems (CCP, Sage, RFMS, Procore, etc.)
• Communicate proactively with the project team, stakeholders, and project leadership about all issues and variances that may influence the project outcome. 
• Develop and maintain effective working relationships with team members and other project personnel. 
• Manage Project Managers and clients to clarify project-related requirements, reporting purposes, and issues. 
• Contribute to the development of the department’s procedures with continuous review and improvement. 
• Recruiting, training, and developing a qualified Project Management team to ensure current and future leadership of the function. 
• Maintain compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and company standards. 
• Be proactive in addressing project issues therefore supporting a successful project outcome. 
• Assist with proposal efforts as a subject matter expert and resource to sales teams. 
• Address contractual requirements related to projectand process controls. 
• Participate in key risk management discussions and negotiations. 
• Participate in potential claims issues. 
• Manage project/workload with each PM & assign Project Managers to new projects.
• Review, audit, and provide feedback on Project Reporting.
• Drive defense and improvement of Contract Margin.
• Work with the Director of Scheduling and Cost Control to execute optimal project delivery.
