Cox Communications is Hiring a Lead Project Support Specialist Near Wichita, KS
The Engineering Management Office (EMO) plays a critical role in delivering strategic network engineering programs to achieve Cox's mission to connect our customers to the people and things they care about most. Our Engineering teams are building tomorrow's network today. The EMO team contribute to this success by managing engineering initiatives to deliver network assets and services that contribute to sustaining and growing our Network.
Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions:

Compensation:
Hourly base pay rate is $28.08 - $42.12/hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.
Benefits:
Employees are eligible to receive a minimum of sixteen hours of paid time off every month and seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Employees are also eligible for additional paid time off in the form of bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, parental leave, and COVID-19 vaccination leave.

Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions:
- With guidance, gains familiarity with Technical Project Management concepts, practices, and methodologies. With direction, performs basic project management duties, including:
- Initial scoping and planning
- Scheduling
- Team facilitation
- Quality assurance
- Documentation, including preparation of communications and presentation packages
- Post-project evaluation
- Learns and applies the company's Technical Project Management policies and guidelines.
- Studies and applies state-of-the-art project management methodologies.
Minimum:
- High School Diploma/GED and 7 years' experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as any level degree/certification beyond a HS diploma/GED in a related discipline and 5 years' experience; or 9 years' experience in a related field (networking, project management, process improvement, change management)
- Requires strong knowledge of tools and processes within technology, engineering, or technical operations such as Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Project, PowerBI, WATTS, PETSA, Oracle
- Excellent problem solving, analytical thinking, and collaborative skills to work effectively with teams throughout the organization
- Experience in telecommunications industry desired
- Degree in related discipline networking, project management, process improvement, change management
- Certification in Cisco, Nokia, CAPM, PMP, Cisco, Nokia
