What You Can Expect Working in the CoverSix Project Manager Position

The Project Manager will oversee, manage and execute their projects from start to finish. These projects assigned will directly support manufacturing for CoverSix, a Military and Government specific division of Redguard. In this role, you will review RFQ and bid files in order to fully understand the scope of work and customer requirements. Once projects are awarded, the Project Manager will oversee the life cycle of the project and coordinate with customers, vendors, sales, engineering, manufacturing, procurement, supply chain, and logistics teams to execute and deliver the equipment. You will be responsible for ensuring the projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on or under budget. You will track and monitor the progress of projects, ensure material orders are placed and received per schedule requirements, update customers on project status, and meet daily with manufacturing and their manager. The role will have direct interface with outside sales, drafting, engineering, external vendors, third-party surveyors & regulatory bodies, procurement manufacturing teams, and logistics. This role will be managing multiple projects during the same time frames.

Responsibilities

• Reviews project proposals and customer contracts to confirm agreement in scope, schedule, and budget.
• Maintains consistent communication, collaboration, and documentation for the projects team.
• Manages process to keep the project moving forward in a timely manner.
• Serves as the primary contact for internal and external customers.
• Establishes a plan for each project to outline responsibilities, timeline, and action items.
• Confers with project personnel to provide technical advice and resolve problems.
• Evaluates designs for accuracy and changes, specifications, and drawing releases, review, compile, submit spec. docs.
• Prepares interim and completion project reports for management, client, or others

Minimum Qualifications

• Knowledge or experience with military/government requirements within the Department of Defense, Homeland Security, State Department and other government agencies.
• Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or five plus years related experience and/or training.
• Experience working with contracts, manufacturing/construction, estimating, and supply chain.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Microsoft Project.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Ability to obtain the following: Passport, TWIC Card, DISA Card.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• Knowledge or experience with military/government codes such as UFC, IBC, FAR, and DFAR clauses.
• Experience in designing and/or managing federal or military projects with USACE, DOD, DOS, or other agencies.
• General knowledge of applicable building codes and permitting requirements.
