Job Summary

Jamsan Hotel Management is seeking a positive, service-oriented, energetic and self-motivated Night Auditor to join our fantastic front team at the Courtyard by Marriott. The Night Auditor is responsible for computing, recording, and verifying numerical data for use in maintaining accounting records. This shift is 11pm to 7am and includes weekends depending on business needs.

Responsibilities and Duties

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES• Keeps accurate accounts of cash, checks, and credit transactions.• Handles confidential information, including guest records, with a high degree of integrity.• Makes daily deposits (as applicable).• Verifies room charges and rates; verifies register has appropriate starting cash.• Manages daily paperwork including occupancy report, guest list, cash drawer summary, balance sheet, account summary, history file, and housekeeping report.• Submits reports to corporate office as appropriate.• Performs duties of a Guest Service Agent.• Performs and documents security walks on a regular basis.• Implements proper procedures in emergency situations.• Assists in setting up breakfast area as directed; replenishes breakfast items as needed.• May be required to make management decisions in manager’s absence.• Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements: A winning attitude is the most important requirement. Previous customer service and cash handling skills preferred as well as the ability to working independently.

Other Knowledge and Skills: Education: High School Education or equivalent experience. Experience: Hotel/Accounting background preferred, but not required.

Skills and Abilities: Ability to operate Personal Computer, Cash Register and Calculator. Ability to compile facts and figures. Telephone and guest relations etiquette and skills. Minimum of I year related experience and or training; or equivalent combination of training and experience. Due to the seasonal nature of the hospitality industry, and the fact that the hotel provides guest services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, the Night Auditor may be required to work on weekends & holidays,

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
